Bellahouston Park

Bellahouston Park

Bellahouston Park is a major public park on Glasgow’s South Side. Originally part of the Maxwell Estate, it was developed to provide open space, recreation and views across the growing city. The park gained international prominence as the site of the 1938 Empire Exhibition, visited by millions, with the Palace of Art the only surviving building. In 1996, Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s House for an Art Lover was completed in the park, reinforcing
Bellahouston’s cultural and architectural significance, which it continues to hold today. You can now top up from the tap when you visit Bellahouston Park.
