Our bodies are on average 60% water. When we’ve not drunk enough water its common to suffer headaches, dizziness and fatigue. More seriously, problems with kidney function and constipation can occur. The simple solution is stay hydrated.
NHS Choices recommend drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day, that’s about 2.5 litres. Of course everyone is different and lifestyle has an impact too, for example if exercising or the temperature soars, you would want to take on a lot more water to keep yourself on top form.
Often we can mistake hunger for being thirsty, if trying to lose weight a glass of water can reduce your appetite to help you reduce your waistline.
