Balloch Road, Balloch

BALLOCH

Situated on the South-West shores of Glasgow, Balloch is often referred to as the gateway to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The village has excellent transport links to Glasgow, making it a popular destination for day-trippers.

The name Balloch comes from either the Gaelic word ‘baile’ which means village or hamlet, or the Gaelic ‘bealach’ meaning ‘a pass’.
